The design of the flow channel is the core element that determines the performance of the high-pressure nozzle, especially having a significant impact on the water flow impact force.

When water flows through a straight channel, due to the high parallelism between the channel wall and the direction of water flow, the water flow can maintain a relatively stable velocity and direction, and can be ejected at a high speed at the outlet, generating a strong impact force. For example, in some cleaning scenarios with stubborn stains on metal surfaces, the linear flow nozzle can accurately concentrate high-pressure water and spray it onto the stain area, effectively removing dirt. Curved channels are more special, like U-shaped channels. It can balance the pressure fluctuations of water flow to a certain extent. When the water flow enters the curved section, the direction of flow velocity changes, and the kinetic energy of the water flow will be redistributed during the bending process. A properly designed curved flow channel can avoid excessive energy loss caused by sudden changes in water flow direction, and can form a specific spray angle and distribution state of water flow at the outlet, thereby improving the coverage range of cleaning and the uniformity of impact force. When cleaning large and irregularly shaped objects, the curved channel nozzle can adjust the spray angle to evenly cover all parts of the object surface, achieving efficient cleaning.

However, the larger the diameter of the channel, the better. If the diameter is too large, it may cause a decrease in water flow velocity and weaken the impact force. In terms of channel length, increasing the length appropriately can fully accelerate the water flow inside the channel, obtain more kinetic energy, and thereby enhance the impact force at the outlet. However, a long flow channel can also bring drawbacks, as the friction distance between the water flow and the channel wall increases, energy loss increases, and the impact force is also reduced. Therefore, in practical design, it is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as the pressure magnitude of the pressure source and the characteristics of the object to be cleaned, and accurately determine the diameter and length of the flow channel to achieve the best impact force effect.
